The Recording Roadmap is for planning before recording, tracking, editing, or mixing. It helps clarify priorities before the session starts: what should lead the record, what should stay out of the way, where the tension should come from, and how the production should support the final impact.

This is not the final mix-prep checklist for mastering. If your mixes are already finished and you are preparing files for Heavy Mastering, Beyond Heavy, vinyl mastering, CD, cassette, streaming, or digital delivery, use the Mix Prep page instead.
