VINYL MASTERING

Vinyl-ready mastering for heavy records that need weight, clarity, translation, and format-specific control.

Enormous Door Mastering prepares masters for vinyl, streaming, CD, cassette, and digital release formats. Vinyl requires different decisions than streaming alone: side length, sequencing, low-end control, peak management, stereo width, inner-groove distortion, and how hard the record can be cut all affect the final pressing.

Send the project details first. We’ll confirm the right mastering path, delivery needs, side lengths, format requirements, and whether the project should be handled as Heavy Mastering or Beyond Heavy before scheduling.

VINYL-READY MASTERS FOR HEAVY RECORDS

Heavy music has to survive the physical limits of vinyl without losing impact. The goal is not to make the record smaller, safer, or weaker. The goal is to make decisions that preserve punch, clarity, low-end authority, and musical intent while respecting what a cutting engineer and pressing plant can realistically translate to the format.

Vinyl mastering may include side-specific master files, sequencing review, level and headroom decisions, low-frequency control, harshness management, stereo width consideration, and format-specific delivery notes for the cutting or pressing stage.

If your release also needs streaming, CD, cassette, digital download, or MP3 delivery, the Full Release Package is usually the right path. One master is not always ideal for every format.

A vinyl master is part of the larger release plan. Many projects need separate masters for vinyl and digital platforms because each format responds differently to level, limiting, low end, brightness, and sequencing.

We’ll confirm what you actually need before scheduling so you do not over-order, under-prepare, or send the wrong files into production.

Vinyl side length matters. Shorter sides usually allow stronger level, better bass, cleaner high end, and more reliable playback. Longer sides can force compromises in level, low end, fidelity, and distortion control.

If you are unsure about side splits, RPM, track order, or whether your record is too long for the format, check the vinyl timing guide before submitting.
